This painting was a work in progress over the first half of my three week trip in Chile and Argentina. I started it on the plane, inspired by the cover of my “Lonely Planet” book, and excited to have my own adventure in Torres Del Paine. We ended up spending five days and four nights in the park. The first night we stayed farther away from the mountains at a camp called Pehoe, and found the exact spot that the Lonely Planet cover photo was taken from! We then completed what is known as the “W”. It traces the base of the range pictured, with three day hikes that take you up into the beautiful valleys of the range.
